İğrek Makina Foundry & Machine Tools

İğrek Makina Foundry is a family-owned company established by A. Osman İğrek in 1946 in Bursa. The company specializes in producing patterns for the casting industry, casting parts, and providing machining services.

Continuous Development and Expansion

The company invests heavily in its production facilities every year. By 2015, İğrek Makina reached a significant milestone by increasing its production area and improving workflow logistics. The production area expanded to 30,000 m².

A dedicated team of 11 engineers and 19 qualified technicians in the Production and Quality Departments, along with 7 experts in Management and Planning, support the operations. In total, 120 qualified and experienced employees work in the modern facility.

By 2015, the company also reconstructed its façade with modern Bauhaus architecture, creating an integrated and cohesive facility. The company is now preparing for its 80th anniversary celebration.

  • Automotive Stamping Dies:
    Styropor patterns are processed from 3D CAD designs to create all the necessary components for automotive stamping dies. These components are cast in materials such as grey iron, ductile iron, and steel. After a full machining process, they are delivered to global customers.
  • Machine Tool Production:
    Leveraging extensive production experience, İğrek Makina provides versatile and responsive support to top machine tool manufacturers.
  • Energy Equipment:
    The company specializes in producing large, high-quality cast parts for energy systems, with a particular focus on ductile iron parts for wind energy.
  • Cement and Mining Sectors, Gear and Ring Producers:
    The facility is capable of delivering cast parts with diameters up to 5 meters. Parts are delivered ready for the gear-cutting process, with proper heat treatment applied.
  • Aviation, Ship Building, and Construction Sectors:
    İğrek Makina also caters to the demands of these industries, providing special dies, vacuuming and stretching dies, main parts, gearboxes, and a wide variety of technical casting parts.

History

  • 1946: The company was founded, with its core business focused on manufacturing grey iron and bronze parts. Over the years, it became one of the leading producers of wood processing machines in Turkey, maintaining this role for three decades.
  • 1970s: With the active participation of the second generation and increased investments in the foundry sector, İğrek Makina shifted its focus to foundry production and stopped producing woodworking machines.
  • 1950: A. Osman İğrek cast the body of a bandsaw for his machines.
  • 1953: A. Osman İğrek with his old employees.
  • 1962: İğrek Makina regularly attended fairs such as Bursa Kulturpark and Izmir.
  • 1970: A. Osman İğrek showed the first cupola furnace to his brother-in-law Mustafa Burlu.
  • 1971: A. Osman İğrek became the stoker in the company.
  • 1975: The basic structure of the company's new building was completed in the Bursa Organized Industrial Site (OSB).
  • 1980s: A. Osman İğrek managed the first administrative office of the new building in OSB.
  • 1981: Woodworking machinery production continued in the new facility, with Orhan İğrek and Kamil İğrek in charge.
  • 1998: A. Osman İğrek visited Döktaş with his grandchild, Fatih İğrek.
  • 2002: The company made its first appearance at GIFA, the International Foundry Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.
  • 2006: One year before A. Osman İğrek’s passing, a photo was taken with his sons and grandson at the company’s workplace.
  • 2015: The O and I letters symbolized by gears and worm gears were incorporated into the company’s modern logo.
  • 2016: The company’s renovated building in OSB.
