Roots and Background of Safa Industrial Group

Our Team

Mohammad Rostami Safa
Mohammad Rostami Safa was born in June 1947 in Tehran, into a family of merchants specializing in iron and steel. Following in his father’s footsteps and with relevant education, he transformed the family business from traditional trade into industrial production in the steel industry. He always believes: "Between hard and harder, I choose the hardest." He started his commercial activities extensively in 1968 by importing iron and steel products. In 1975, with an investment in the Amol Industrial Group, he began working in the pipe and profile industry. By 1977, driven by national pride and a belief in Iran’s self-sufficiency, he entered the production field by manufacturing machinery and tools at Ostad Industrial Company. In 1985, he became a shareholder and CEO of Saveh Rolling and Profile Company. At that time, the company had a production capacity of 30,000 tons and 160 employees. Today, under his leadership, Saveh Rolling and Profile Company boasts a production capacity of 2 million tons and 1,500 employees. In line with the country's 20-year vision plan and infrastructure development program, he founded the Safa Rolling and Pipe Mill in Saveh in 2000. This factory is now the largest and most modern rolling and pipe production plant in the Middle East, serving industries such as oil, gas, petrochemicals, petroleum products transportation, water, and wastewater. It is considered a great honor for Iran. In 2004, in response to the Sarakhs-Mashhad project, he established the Safa Toos Rolling and Pipe Mill in Mashhad. After the completion of the project, to meet the needs of Khorasan province’s development plan, a hot rolling line was launched at this factory, starting the production of wide-flange beams. Between 2006 and 2008, driven by a national production mindset and the need to supply raw materials for the aforementioned factories, he established companies such as "Safa Metal Structures and Industrial Machinery" and "Ahvaz Polymer Industry." Additionally, between 1999 and 2001, he invested in companies like "Ahvaz Wire and Cable" and "Hamiran Food Industries." In 2009, he ventured into the stationery industry, founding "Safa Pen Company," the first stationery manufacturing factory in Iran. Mohammad Rostami Safa is an industrial mentor, continuously working to form industrial teams and units. His greatest joy is seeing ideas come to life and the operation of new pipe production lines. He believes that wealth is a trust granted by God, which he aims to return by expanding industrial units, building schools, hospitals, helping those in need, and freeing prisoners. He says: "God has helped us and expanded our sustenance. We are obligated to pass it on. We should be like lions, taking only what we need from God's provisions." He believes: "Never express problems; instead, manage them. Management is the art of overcoming challenges."
