Kocak Farma: Over 50 Years of Activity in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Kocak Farma was established in 1971 and today is considered one of the well-known companies in the Turkish pharmaceutical industry in the field of producing human medicines and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Over more than five decades of activity, this company has transformed from a domestic manufacturer into an organization with a widespread presence in international markets, exporting its products to more than 40 countries worldwide.

Production and R&D Infrastructure

Kocak Farma's main production complex is located in the Çerkezkoy Organized Industrial Zone. With an area of approximately 140,000 square meters and over 100,000 square meters of indoor space, this facility is considered one of the largest pharmaceutical production centers in Turkey. Nearly 2,000 people work in the production, research and development, sales, and management departments of this complex.

The company's R&D center, which is approved by the Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, focuses on the development of new products, improving formulations, and pharmaceutical production technologies. The activities of this center cover various therapeutic areas, the most important of which are:

Specialized Position in the Field of Oncology

Kocak Farma is considered one of the important active players in the field of anti-cancer drugs in Turkey. By holding more than 90 oncology product licenses and producing a portion of the raw materials for anti-cancer drugs domestically in Turkey, this company plays a significant role in the supply chain of this specialized field.

The company is also active in the development and production of advanced pharmaceutical products, including biosimilars, oncology products, softgel capsules, sterile preparations, vials, lyophilized ampoules, and pre-filled syringes, and has been one of the very first pharmaceutical companies in Turkey to produce some of these products.

Production Standards and Global Presence

Kocak Farma's production facilities are designed and approved according to EU GMP standards, enabling the production of a wide range of pharmaceutical dosage forms. In addition to the Turkish market, the company's products are exported to various countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, South Korea, and Australia.

Besides manufacturing pharmaceuticals, Koçak Farma is actively involved in R&D, preparing drug registration dossiers, and contract manufacturing for international pharmaceutical companies.
