The construction project of the Barez Tire Factory was inaugurated in 1985 in the city of Kerman, and this group began its commercial activities in 1993 with an initial capacity of 25,000 tons per year to produce various types of tires, tubes, and bands for light and heavy vehicles, as well as agricultural tires.
In 2005, the first tire industry research and development center in the country was established by Barez Industrial Group, which, in the following years, localized the knowledge of tire design and production in the country. By acquiring the technology of the world's fourth-largest tire manufacturer, Continental of Germany, Barez Industrial Group became the only producer of radial truck and bus tires in the country's tire industry, thus meeting a significant portion of the transportation industry's needs.
Due to the high quality of these tires and the acquired technologies, it gradually emerged as the best Iranian tire. In 2016, the second factory of Barez Industrial Group was inaugurated in Kurdistan Province as the most advanced and equipped tire manufacturing facility in the country, producing radial tires for passenger cars and tires for crossovers and SUVs. Currently, with a production capacity of 125,000 tons, this complex is the largest tire factory in the country, holding 46% of the Iranian market share.
About 36% of the market share for radial passenger tires, 24% for radial truck tires, and 40% for agricultural tires in Iran belong to Barez Industrial Group, making Barez the market leader in the Iranian tire industry and the most up-to-date tire manufacturer in the region.
