About Us

From Yesterday to Today ...

  • 1973 - Studies on the Kurdistan Cement Factory: In 1973, studies were initiated to establish a cement factory in the Kurdistan province.
  • 1977 to 1978 - Construction of Cement Factory: In 1977 and 1978, the Industrial and Mining Development Bank, in collaboration with a British company, conducted studies, and an area in Divandareh County was selected for the factory. In 1981, the Industry and Mine Bank established the Kurdistan Cement Company.
  • 1986 - Company Registration: In 1986, the Ministry of Industries, in cooperation with Sepahan Cement, Soufian Cement, and Northern Cement companies, established a company named "Divandareh Kurdistan Cement Company (Private Joint Stock)" with an investment of one billion Rials, registered on 2nd September 1986 under number 614140.
  • 1987 - Name and Location Change: In 1987, 70% of the company's shares were transferred to "Ohdath Sanat" company. In 1989, by the decision of the General Assembly of shareholders, the company name was changed to "Kurdistan Cement Company (Private Joint Stock)." Due to these changes, the project location was transferred from Divandareh County to kilometer 5 of Takab Road in Bijar County (current factory location), and the construction began.
  • 1992-1993 - Establishment of Production Line with Foreign Equipment: In early 1992, the construction of the production line began through contracts for domestic construction and the import of foreign equipment worth about 42 million dollars, which continued until 1993.
  • 1996 - Factory Commissioning: On 9th July 1996, the factory was commissioned.
  • 1999 - Change to Public Joint Stock Company: In 1999, the company was converted into a public joint stock company. In 2003, shares of the company were transferred to Ghadeer Investment Company.
  • 2006 - Increase in Production Capacity to 3200 Tons of Clinker: Kurdistan Cement Company, which was established in 1996 with an initial capacity of 2300 tons of clinker per day, increased its capacity to 3200 tons of clinker per day in 2006.
  • 2015 - Increase in Cement Production Capacity to 6000 Tons: In 2015, with the operation of the multi-chamber silo and roller mill, the nominal production capacity of cement increased to 6000 tons per day.

Introduction to Kurdistan Cement Company

Kurdistan Cement Company, the largest industrial unit in Kurdistan province, was established in 1996 with the aim of reducing poverty and creating sustainable employment in the region. Currently, it is one of the active cement manufacturers in the western part of the country, preserving environmental resources and improving energy consumption with the technology of multi-chamber systems, reaching a production capacity of 6000 tons per day.

Currently, the production of custom cement with multi-chamber silo technology, using separate grinding, is unique in the Middle East and is exclusively available to Kurdistan Cement Company. With this technology, the factory can produce 27 different high-quality products in accordance with European EN standards.
